Help Center Membership Management: Getting in and your account The top bar

The top bar

What it is

The strip across the top of every page after you sign in.

What it shows, left to right

  • Your clinic's logo (or its name if there is no logo) and the product name. Clicking it opens the Dashboard. The owner or admin sets the logo and name on Account → Branding.
  • Menu links:
    • Dashboard: everyone.
    • Members: everyone.
    • Pharmacy: only if your plan includes Pharmacy e-ordering and your role has "Stage a prescription for the pharmacy (prepare, not send)".
    • Fax: only if your plan includes Fax prescriptions and your role has "Send faxes and manage fax contacts (fax add-on)" or "Open received faxes and mark them handled (fax add-on)". A number badge shows received faxes nobody has handled yet.
    • Alerts: everyone. A number badge shows open alerts.
    • Admin: only with "View settings".
    • Account: only with "View settings".
  • Clinic switcher: a drop-down, only if your login belongs to two or more clinics.
  • Who you are: your name (or e-mail) and your role, like "Jane Smith · nurse". During a Prescripta support visit it says "Prescripta support" instead of a role.
  • Sign out button.

The badge numbers refresh about once a minute.

Sign out

Click Sign out to end your session right away. You go back to the sign-in page. Always sign out on a shared computer.

The clinic switcher

What it is: a drop-down (hover text "Switch clinic"). Each choice shows the clinic name and your role there, like "Sunrise Wellness · admin", plus (demo) for a demo clinic.

How to use it: pick another clinic. The portal opens that clinic's Dashboard.

What happens:

  • You do not type your password or code again.
  • Your sign-in window keeps counting from your real sign-in. Switching does not give you more time.
  • The switch is written to the audit log.
  • If the switch is refused (for example your access there was just turned off), you stay where you were.
  • The switcher is hidden during a Prescripta support visit.
