Which Aesthetic Clinic Software Has Built-In Memberships and Packages? And Why It Is the Wrong Question for Medication Memberships

Yes, most aesthetic clinic software has memberships and packages built in. Zenoti, Mangomint, and OptiMantra all list them as standard features: a recurring charge, a set of service credits or a discount, auto-renewal, expiry, and a reminder when credits are about to expire. If your memberships are facials, laser sessions, or injectable units, those features are the answer and the choice comes down to scheduling, point of sale, and price.

If your memberships are medications, the built-in feature is only half the answer. This post explains why, and what the other half looks like.

What built-in memberships are built for

A service membership is a bucket of credits. The software charges the card, adds credits, deducts one at each visit, and warns the client before unused credits expire. That is what Mangomint's memberships and packages page describes: services redeemed each billing period, automatic billing, expiration settings, an account balance funded by recurring payments, and automated expiry reminders. Zenoti's memberships work on the same model for salons, spas, and med spas. OptiMantra includes membership and package management with discounts that can be baked into a package.

All three do that job well. None of their public descriptions mention medication, refills, pharmacies, or clinical follow-up, because a service membership does not have any of those.

What a medication membership needs instead

A GLP-1, hormone, TRT, or peptide membership is not a bucket of credits. It is one patient, one compound, every month, shipped from a compounding pharmacy, with a nurse checking in between. The things that have to be tracked are different:

  • Next reorder date and a reminder that opens seven days before it, because compounding and shipping take time
  • Next autopay date, kept separate from the reorder date, because they drift apart after any delay
  • Failed autopay flagged before the order is approved, so unpaid medication is not shipped
  • Nurse follow-up every 28 days, logged as reached or not reached, with the patient kept on the list
  • The pharmacy order itself: prepared, provider-approved, sent, and tracked to delivery
  • A daily view of who needs a reorder, a follow-up, or an approval today

A credits-based membership feature has no field for any of those. Clinics that run medication memberships on aesthetic software end up with the membership billed in the platform and the schedule in a spreadsheet, which is the setup every one of these clinics is trying to get out of.

The honest comparison

For the three platforms named above, what is built in and what is not, as of October 2026 and from their own public pages:

  • Zenoti: recurring memberships and packages with credits, point of sale, scheduling, and marketing for med spas and salons. No medication reorder schedule, no pharmacy ordering, no clinical follow-up tracking. Our Prescripta vs Zenoti post explains where it fits.
  • Mangomint: memberships with automatic billing and service redemption, packages with usage tracking, expiry reminders. No medication reorder schedule, no pharmacy ordering, no clinical follow-up tracking.
  • OptiMantra: membership and package management with package discounts, consent forms, and card charges, inside an EMR. Its own guidance leaves reminders, expiry policy, and liability review to the practice; nothing on reorders or pharmacy orders. Our post on OptiMantra memberships and packages covers it in detail.

Prescripta is not affiliated with any of them. Check each vendor's site for current features.

The fix: keep the platform, add the medication list

Prescripta Member Management is the other half. It is a membership list built for medication memberships, and it runs beside the platform you already use:

  • Zenoti members sync on a schedule with Zenoti's own status labels (active, suspended, payment failed, frozen)
  • OptiMantra members come from patient tags through OptiMantra's webhooks and Patient Tags report
  • Any other platform's members come in by CSV export, with a preview before anything is written

The platform keeps charging the card and running the schedule book. Member Management keeps the four dates, opens the reorder reminders, flags failed payments on the member, runs the nurse follow-up list, places the compounding pharmacy order from the member's row, and writes a morning brief. It costs $19 to $49 per clinic per month, bought online with no consult.

For a clinic that wants charting, eRx with EPCS, labs, eFax, payments, and the pharmacy connection in one system instead of a spa platform plus an EHR plus a list, the full Prescripta platform is built for aesthetic, hormone, and weight-loss practices.

Frequently asked questions

Does Zenoti have built-in memberships?

Yes. Zenoti offers recurring memberships and packages with credits for salons, spas, and med spas. It does not track medication reorders, nurse follow-ups, or pharmacy orders; Prescripta Member Management syncs Zenoti members and adds those.

Does Mangomint have memberships and packages?

Yes. Mangomint's memberships bill automatically and let clients redeem services each billing period, and packages bundle services with usage tracking and expiry reminders. Its public page does not mention medication, refills, or pharmacies.

Does OptiMantra have memberships and packages?

Yes. OptiMantra lists membership and package management in its base plan, with package discounts and consent forms. Reminders, expiry policy, and liability review are left to the practice, and medication reorders are not mentioned.

What is the best software for GLP-1 or hormone memberships?

One that tracks the next reorder, the next autopay, the last nurse follow-up, and the pharmacy order on every member. Service-credit memberships in spa software do not. Prescripta Member Management adds that list beside Zenoti, OptiMantra, or any EHR, and Prescripta's full platform adds charting, eRx with EPCS, labs, and the pharmacy connection beside it.

Can I keep my aesthetic platform and still manage medication memberships properly?

Yes. Member Management runs beside it, reads your members by sync or CSV, and handles the medication schedule and the pharmacy order. The platform keeps billing and scheduling.

Clinics shop for an OptiMantra alternative for three reasons: cost that climbs with add-ons and seats, a learning curve, and no way to track monthly medication memberships. Two of those have a replacement answer. The third has a cheaper one.
