Help Center Your Account & Sign-in Team roles and permissions
Team roles and permissions
Owners can add other people to the account from the Team card on the Account tab. Each person gets their own sign-in and a role. The role decides which tabs they see and what they can change.
The four roles
- Owner: everything, always. The person who placed the order is the first owner. Only Prescripta can add another owner or change an owner's role.
- Provider: a clinician on the practice. By default they can view practice information, edit the booking page, view billing, see all support tickets, and use the Support Assistant.
- Staff: front desk or practice management. By default they can view practice information, edit the booking page, see all support tickets, and use the Support Assistant. No billing.
- Billing: money only. By default they can view practice information, manage billing and the payment method, see the tickets they opened, view agreements, and use the Support Assistant. No booking page.
Inviting someone
- Open the Account tab and find the Team card.
- Click Invite someone, enter their name and email, and pick a role.
- They receive an email with a temporary password. At their first sign-in they choose their own password.
If the email cannot be delivered, the temporary password is shown to you once so you can share it directly. Use Resend invite to send a fresh one.
What each permission level means
Open Role settings on the Team card to adjust Provider, Staff, or Billing for your account. Owner permissions are fixed.
- Practice information: None hides the Practice tab. View shows the details and providers without Edit. Edit allows changes and adding providers, which are also sent to your EHR.
- Booking Page console: None hides the Booking Page tab. View opens the console read-only. Edit allows changes and publishing.
- Billing: None hides the Billing tab. View shows the membership and invoices. Manage also allows updating the payment method.
- Support tickets: Own tickets only shows the tickets that person opened. All account tickets shows every ticket on the account.
- Support Assistant: On shows the assistant on the account page. Off hides it.
- Agreements: None hides the Agreements card. View shows the accepted agreements.
Overview, Support, and the person's own profile and password are always available. Team management is owner-only.
Suspend, restore, remove
- Suspend keeps the sign-in but closes every part of the account to that person until you restore them.
- Remove takes them off the team. If it was their only Prescripta account, their sign-in is disabled.
More than one practice
If your account has more than one practice, an Applies to choice appears when you invite or edit someone: all practices, or one practice only. A person scoped to one practice sees only that practice's information, booking page, and tickets.
Changes take effect on the next page load
When you change a role or a permission, the person sees it the next time they load a page. Their current screen does not change until then.
