Help Center Membership Management Reorders and the pharmacy

Reorders and the pharmacy

How the reorder date is decided

When a prescription exists, the reorder date comes from it: the date the pharmacy filled it, plus the days' supply, less a lead time. The default lead time is five days, so a 30-day fill reorders at day 25. Until an order exists, the membership's interval or a date set by hand is used. With several prescriptions each line keeps its own clock, and the earliest one drives the membership.

Pharmacy history stays current on its own

You do not have to look up each patient at the pharmacy. The portal refreshes every current patient's pharmacy history automatically: a daily pass starts it and the hourly checks finish it, so each patient is re-checked about once a week. A patient with no saved medication gets one seeded from that history. The morning pull also records orders placed at the pharmacy since yesterday. Verify last order on a patient is only for an on-the-spot refresh. Pharmacy data is clinic-wide: whatever is pulled is stored on the patient and every user sees it.

What the pharmacy status codes mean

They are the pharmacy's own codes, shown with the pharmacy's labels. The labels load when an administrator opens Settings > Pharmacies and presses Test connection. For Stryker Pharmacy the labels are Order Received, Processing, Completed Order, Canceled Order, Reconciled and Unfillable Order. A bare code on screen means the reference list has not been loaded for that pharmacy yet.

Auto-prepared orders

With auto-prepare on, the morning run prepares the prescription itself when a reorder comes due, filled in from the patient's saved medication or last order. Nothing is sent until an authorized person approves it. Any edit moves it to Pending provider approval. An auto-prepared row shows a small "auto" marker.

Changing what gets reordered

Every reorder opens the prescription order form first, pre-filled from the last order. Make any edits there, then Stage it for approval or Process it.

One status chip per row

The order-status chip carries the queue state. A second, pharmacy chip appears only when it adds something: Sent to pharmacy, Pharmacy accepted or rejected, or Faxed.
