Help Center Membership Management: The Dashboard The Morning brief

The Morning brief

A panel above the cards titled Morning brief. It is a short written summary of the Dashboard, written by an AI model.

Who sees it: everyone in a clinic whose plan includes the AI morning brief (Base, Plus and Pro plans include it). If you do not see it, your plan does not include it; see Account, or contact support.

What the AI is given: only counts and dollar totals. No names, dates of birth or any other patient details. You can check exactly what it was given with Show the numbers.

When it is written

  • Every morning in the morning run (8:50 AM Eastern), right after the EMR sync. This one is always written fresh.
  • On each hourly check (6:05 AM to 11:05 PM Eastern), but only if a number has changed since the last brief.
  • After someone clicks Check the pharmacy for orders now (Admin → Settings → Pharmacies), if a number changed.
  • When someone clicks Regenerate.

The panel does not refresh by itself while the page is open (except for a short time after Regenerate). Reload the page to see a newer brief.

What it says

Four sections, each a heading followed by short bullet lines, most urgent first:

  1. Memberships: current memberships, active (paid up to date) and how many separate patients that is, suspended and failed payments with the dollars at risk, past due.
  2. Money: how much is scheduled to be collected in the next 7 days and the next 30 days, and how many memberships have no amount in the EMR.
  3. Needs attention: overdue reorders, reorders due, pending provider approval, auto-prepared reorders, follow-ups not reached, EMR matches to review, EMR disagreements, people seen in the EMR with no membership (as a front-desk opportunity), and pharmacy orders whose prescription differs. If nothing is waiting: one sentence saying so.
  4. Orders & shipping: orders placed today, ordered but not shipped yet, shipped but not marked delivered, rejected by the pharmacy, tracking numbers received in the last 7 days, shipping e-mails with no patient, orders placed at the pharmacy directly, and pharmacy orders that matched no patient.

The money figures are sums of the next autopay amounts from the EMR. "At risk" is the total for suspended, payment-failed and past-due memberships.

Links in the brief

Numbers in the brief that belong to a card are links (they look like underlined text). Click one and that card's list opens below, even if the card is hidden for you.

The title line also shows when the brief was written, for example Morning brief, 10/25/26, 8:52 AM (Eastern time).

Regenerate and its daily limit

  • After you click it: Writing a fresh brief, it appears here in about 10 seconds. N regenerations left today. The panel checks for the new brief after about 8, 20 and 45 seconds.
  • Each clinic gets a number of manual rewrites per day, by plan. The morning brief and the automatic hourly updates do not count.

Pro12

Prescripta can set a different number for your clinic (a paid add-on). The limit is for the whole clinic, not per person. It resets each day.

  • When none are left, the button is greyed out (hover: Today's manual regenerations are used up, the brief is rewritten automatically each morning.). If you try anyway you get: Today's N manual regenerations are used up, the brief is rewritten automatically each morning. Ask support to raise the allowance.

Messages you may see

  • No brief yet, it is written after the next sync, or click Regenerate.: a new clinic, or no run has happened yet.
  • The AI brief add-on is on, but no model is configured for this deployment yet.: set up by Prescripta; contact support. Regenerate is hidden.
  • · model unavailable, showing the numbers directly (after the time in the title), the AI could not be reached, so the portal wrote the brief itself from the same numbers. The facts are correct; the wording is plainer. It will try again on the next run.
