Why you're asked for verification codes

Prescripta emails you a 6-digit code at two moments: confirming your email when you sign up, and verifying it's really you when you reset a password. The code proves you control the email address on the account.

Handling codes safely

  • Codes expire after 1 hour and work only once.
  • Never share a code with anyone — Prescripta staff will never ask you for one by phone, text, or email.
  • If a code arrives that you didn't request, someone may have typed your email by mistake — or someone may be probing your account. Don't use the code, and consider changing your password and enabling two-factor authentication.

Codes come from Prescripta (no-reply@prescripta.com). Be suspicious of lookalike senders.
