Help Center Membership Management: Settings Dashboard cards
Dashboard cards
What it controls: which dashboard cards (the count boxes at the top of the dashboard) the clinic uses at all, and which cards hide themselves when their count is zero.
Click path: Admin → Settings → Dashboard cards.
Who: owner and admin (Change settings).
On-screen explanation: Clinic-wide: a card that is switched off never appears for anyone; "hide at zero" keeps a card off the dashboard until it has something to show. Each person can still arrange and hide cards for themselves with "Arrange tiles" on the dashboard.
There are two tables, Memberships and Needs attention. Columns:
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
| Card | The card's name. |
| On | Tick box. Off = the card never appears for anyone in the clinic. Default: on for every card. |
| Hide at zero | Tick box. On = the card stays off the dashboard while its count is 0. Greyed out when On is off. Default: depends on the card (see below). |

Saving and when it takes effect
Click Save dashboard cards at the bottom of this card. The message Settings saved. appears next to the button (or Not saved, and the reason). Like every Save on this page, it saves the whole Settings page.
After saving, the person who saved sees their dashboard follow the change right away, without reloading. Other staff see it the next time their page loads (for example when they reload the browser or sign in again).
Undo: tick the box back on and save.
Questions people ask
Q: Where did a card go?
A: Either it is switched off here (On unticked), it has Hide at zero on and its count is 0, or you hid it yourself with Arrange tiles on the dashboard.
Q: Can we turn cards off for the whole clinic?
A: Yes, untick On for that card and save. Nobody will see it.
Q: I want a card to show even when it is 0.
A: Untick Hide at zero for it and save.
Q: The Hide at zero box is greyed out.
A: The card is switched off (On unticked). Turn it on first.
Q: The "Auto-prepared, pending approval" card shows 0. Is something wrong?
A: No. That card shows 0 rather than hiding itself, so you can see auto-prepare is working. Tick Hide at zero if you prefer it hidden.
Q: I changed a card here but my dashboard looks the same.
A: Make sure you clicked a Save button on Settings, then reload the dashboard page.
Q: Does switching off a card stop the alerts or the daily summary line?
A: No. It only hides the card on the dashboard. The work and the summary line are unchanged.
