Plans and features
What a plan is
Your clinic's subscription. The plan decides which features your clinic can use and how many pharmacies it may connect. You see your plan on Account → Your subscription. Billing, upgrades, downgrades and cancelling are done on prescripta.com (Account → View billing and change plan).

The one-line plan summaries shown on the Account page:
- Base: Membership tracking, reorders, one pharmacy with e-ordering, EMR sync, CSV import/export, AI morning brief.
- Plus: Everything in Base, plus up to three pharmacies.
- Pro: Everything in Plus, plus unlimited pharmacies and eFax (fax prescriptions from the order form, fax inbox with AI read).
There is also an Internal plan that is not sold. It is used for Prescripta's own clinic, demo clinics and complimentary accounts. It has every feature (including Team chat posts), unlimited pharmacies, and 10 manual AI regenerations and 10 fax re-reads per day.
What each feature means
| Feature (as shown on Account) | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pharmacy e-ordering | Prepare and send prescriptions to a pharmacy online; the Pharmacy page. |
| EMR sync | Pulls patients and memberships from your connected EMR. Without it, patients are added by hand or imported. |
| Multiple memberships per patient | A manually added patient can have a second membership (for example Hormone plus Tirzepatide). |
| CSV import & export | Import patients from a spreadsheet; export patients, orders and follow-ups (Settings → Data). |
| Multiple pharmacies | More than one pharmacy, each with its own connection and catalog. Staff pick the pharmacy when ordering. |
| Fax prescriptions | The Fax page and Fax to pharmacy on the order form. Needs Pharmacy e-ordering. |
| AI morning brief | A short written summary above the Dashboard cards. It uses counts only, never patient details. Also powers the AI read of received faxes. |
| Team chat posts | Posts the daily summary counts to the clinic's team chat (Pumble today). Not sold yet; internal and complimentary accounts only. |
| AI prescription pre-check | Advisory checks on a prescription before it is sent. Listed as an add-on, but there is no screen for it yet (coming later). It may show under "Not in your plan" on Account. |
Pharmacy limits
- Base: 1 pharmacy. Plus: up to 3. Pro: unlimited.
- Two accounts at the same pharmacy (for example a second prescriber's account at the same pharmacy) count as one pharmacy.
- Pharmacies are set up by Prescripta. If a change would go over the plan, the portal says Your plan allows [N] pharmacy. Upgrade from Account to add more.
AI limits
- The AI morning brief is rewritten automatically every morning and whenever the numbers change at an hourly check. That is free and unlimited.
- Regenerate on the Dashboard (owner and admin, with Change settings) is limited per clinic per day: Base 3, Plus 6, Pro 12. When used up: Today's [N] manual regenerations are used up, the brief is rewritten automatically each morning. Ask support to raise the allowance.
- Fax Read again has its own daily count with the same numbers.
- Every received fax is read once automatically, at no extra cost.
- Prescripta can raise a clinic's daily allowance (a paid add-on).
Add-ons and changes by Prescripta
Prescripta can switch single features on or off for a clinic on top of its plan (for example a complimentary add-on). Prescripta can also switch off auto-prepare (auto-reorder), switch off EMR sync, or switch off a single pharmacy for a clinic. When it does, the Account page says so, for example Auto-reorder is switched off for this clinic by Prescripta. or EMR sync is switched off for this clinic by Prescripta. Contact support to change any of these.
How a plan change works
- Upgrades and downgrades are made on prescripta.com. The portal follows within moments; new features appear on the next page load.
- A downgrade usually happens at the end of the paid period. Until then the Account page shows Changing to [plan] on [date].
- If a subscription is cancelled, the portal keeps working until the end of the paid period (Account shows available until [date]). The morning run after that day pauses the clinic. Signing in then shows: This clinic's subscription is paused. The owner can reactivate it from prescripta.com.
Billing status pills on Account
| Pill | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Paid and current |
| Trial | On a trial |
| Complimentary | Free of charge |
| Payment past due | The last charge failed; update the card on prescripta.com |
| Cancelled | Cancelled; works until the date shown |
Questions people ask
Q: Which plan do we need to fax?
A: Pro.
Q: We're on Base. Do we get the AI?
A: Yes. Every plan includes the AI morning brief. On Base you can regenerate it by hand 3 times a day.
Q: Where do I change my plan or card?
A: Account → View billing and change plan. It opens prescripta.com. The portal never holds card details.
Q: We upgraded but don't see the new feature.
A: Reload the page. If it still is not there, sign out and back in. Then contact support with your account reference (shown on Account).
Q: What is in "Not in your plan" on the Account page?
A: Features your clinic could get on a higher plan or as an add-on. Internal-only features (like team chat) are not listed.
Q: Can I turn a feature off for my clinic?
A: Features follow the plan. Contact support if you want one switched off.
Q: Does a new feature reach every clinic?
A: Yes. All clinics run on the same system, so a new feature reaches every clinic whose plan includes it as soon as it is released. Some features also need a setting turned on by your clinic.
